Who we are

Unique Perspective 8 Shop (https://shop.uniqueperspective8.com) is an online store based in British Columbia, Canada. We handle personal information in line with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the BC Personal Information Protection Act. What we collect

• Order details: name, email, phone (if given), billing and shipping address, and the items you buy.
• Account details if you create an account: name, email and password (stored encrypted).
• Messages you send us through contact forms or email.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed and cookies, used to run the store, keep it secure and understand how it is used.

We do not see or store your full card number. Payments are processed by Stripe, and by PayPal if you choose it.

Why we use it

We use your information to process and deliver orders, send order and shipping updates, answer questions, handle returns, prevent fraud, meet tax and accounting obligations, and, only with your consent, send marketing emails. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.

Who we share it with

We share only what is needed with service providers that help run the store: our print-on-demand partners Printful and Printify (who make and ship your order), payment processors (Stripe, PayPal), our web host (SiteGround), shipping carriers, email tools, and analytics and advertising services such as Google and Meta. Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep your cart and login working, and analytics and advertising cookies to measure traffic and marketing. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, though parts of the store may not work without them.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes (generally up to seven years under Canadian rules). Account data is kept until you ask us to delete your account. Other data is deleted when no longer needed.

Your rights

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, withdraw consent for marketing, or ask us to delete your data where we are not required to keep it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

Security

The store uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please contact us right away if you think your account has been compromised.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
